Megan and Kris wanted, above all, a fun and upbeat wedding that was also laid back. Although we were a little off the schedule, I didn’t worry about it, because I knew we had plenty of time to get everything done. Our photographers, Mike and his team, stole Megan and Kris away for the most amazing twilight shot at the aft of the ship, capturing not only their beauty but all the lights of Long Beach Harbor. After the delicious meal prepared by The Queen Mary’s chefs, it was time to get this boat rockin’ again! We kicked off the dancing and packed the tiny little checkered dance floor.
The party lasted until midnight with a big finale that made you forget how small the wedding was. They danced one last slow dance to “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, and then we got everyone singing “Sweet Caroline”…a favorite drinking song amongst their circle of friends. It’s been years since I have DJ’d aboard The Queen Mary. The load in, small elevators, tight corners and spaces all make for a challenging day. However, the ambience, the beauty, and the history make this the perfect venue for brides and grooms looking for that unique space to hold their wedding. Thank you Megan and Kris for inviting me aboard!
