As their guests arrived, they were treated to the sounds of Mariachi Los Reyes. Mariachi Los Reyes is an 11-piece Mariachi who played everything from traditional Ranchera to Spanish covers of Stevie Wonder songs. They played for the cocktail hour, then moved inside to play for Michelle and Hiram’s Grand Entrance. They then returned for the dinner hour. Once dinner was through, it was time to party, and we over-packed the already giant dance floor with every single guest in attendance. (Seriously…they were dancing on the carpet surrounding the dance floor!)
With all the dancing and energy that we had going on after the formalities, we kept the dancing going an hour past their scheduled end time. As we rounded everyone up for the final Circle of Love, Hiram said “Dancing Queen as the last song.” Great suggestion! I always play a couple more songs to end the party with a bang, so I said “You guys want one more?” and then I hit them with ABBA. The smile on Hiram’s face was priceless. But the sincere Thank You’s I received from Michelle and Hiram at the end of the night is what really touched my heart. I love it when I can prove myself to a couple.
